‘We will pick teams based on the conditions’
Winning Australia captain hailed his side’s display after the match: “I thought it was a solid bowling performance. Everyone chipped in.
“I think it is a very good playing XI. We have spoken throughout the tournament we have 15 guys who can take us deep in this World Cup. We will pick teams based on the conditions.
“Yeah it’s a great team to lead. Have a lot of great leaders within the group. They keep us calm and prepared.”
‘We should have scored at least 170’
Losing Bangladesh captain Shanto had this to say at the post-match presentation: “Wicket looked very good. Bit slow but we should have scored at least 170.
“Playing against this kind of team we looked to gamble.
“Rishad came in to bat at number four. We know he is very good against spin. We tried something different today.
“So far I have enjoyed it a lot [the captaincy] and taking responsibility. Hope I can contribute more.
“Very important today for the top order to get some runs. We have struggled with that in last few matches.
“I hope the bowlers continue their form and we have a good match against India [next].”
